Learning Outcome: At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
- Integrate ESG and sustainability concepts into business strategies, operations, and decision-making processes.
- Implement materiality and double materiality to identify and prioritize ESG issues relevant to their organization and stakeholders.
- Create ESG investment portfolios that align with specific sustainability goals and risk tolerances.
- Understand and apply reporting frameworks such as GRI, IR, SASB, BRSR, and others to disclose ESG performance and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Analyze ESG rating mechanisms and indices like MSCI and Sustainalytics to assess company sustainability performance and identify investment opportunities.
- Measure and report on the impact of ESG initiatives on environmental, social, and governance outcomes.
- Conduct GHG accounting to quantify greenhouse gas emissions and develop reduction strategies.
- Implement effective corporate governance practices to enhance transparency, accountability, and ethical behavior.
- Identify and mitigate ESG-related risks to protect the organization’s reputation, financial performance, and long-term sustainability.
- Develop and implement ESG policies and procedures to guide organizational behavior and decision-making.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their expectations, address concerns, and build trust.
- Lead and manage ESG initiatives effectively, driving positive change within the organization and industry.
